Paid membership plans (Explorer at $7.99/mo, Researcher at $14.99/mo, Power User at $29.99/mo) are billed on a recurring monthly cycle via Stripe.

• Recurring Billing & Automatic Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the beginning of each billing month unless cancelled prior to the renewal date.
• Instant Self-Service Online Cancellation: In compliance with ROSCA and California Automatic Renewal Laws, you can cancel your subscription at any time with zero hassle directly through your profile menu via the Stripe Customer Billing Portal.
• EU Statutory Right of Withdrawal: EU/EEA consumers possess a 14-day statutory right of withdrawal from the date of initial purchase. If you have not utilized research compute during this period, you may request a refund by emailing billing@alcuin.site.
• Plan Modifications: Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing. Downgrades take effect at the conclusion of the active billing period.

• Finding Aid Purpose: Alcuin is an exploratory finding aid and scholarly synthesis tool. It is not a substitute for professional legal, medical, or specialized archival appraisal.

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:

• Submitting adversarial prompt injections designed to bypass security filters or extract backend system prompts.
• Automated scraping or denial-of-service attempts that exceed published rate limits.
• Using Alcuin to generate illegal, abusive, or defamatory materials.
• Attempting to circumvent anonymous query limits or payment barriers via automated proxies.
